“And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also He called apostles.…”

It was one of the biggest decisions Christ would make in His earthly ministry. Which of His followers would He choose to be His twelve disciples? Our Prayer: Loving Father, we praise our Lord Jesus for His life and ministry. We most especially thank Him for His gift, sacrifice, and offer of eternal life. Help us to follow His example of finding strength through solitary prayer with You. May we seek Your will and guidance in all we attempt to do as leaders, as we lead from our knees. Amen.

Throughout generations people have combed the Holy Scriptures in search of meaning, purpose, solace and forgiveness. Its words give us new understanding of creation, history, prophecy and revelation: therein, we find the promise of the soul’s salvation.

But my own burden and calling that led me to the writing of this book, Leading From Our Knees, revealed to me that the Holy Scriptures are also the ultimate collection of timeless leadership precepts.
